Angela Andrew

Angela Andrew is a performer, teacher and producer specialising in dance and arts from  the Jazz era.  She is an autodidact starting her dance story on the streets of Hackney  where she was born and raised. The combination of her musical family background,  classical music training, love for jazz and her passion for dance made for a natural progression to search for the roots of present day street-dance, the Lindy Hop.

Angela started lindy-hopping in 1991 having an already established dancing and teaching path. She is one of the most exciting personalities on the international Lindy Hop scene: renowned for her explosive energy and improvisational skills on the dance floor, absorbing and powerful presence on stage, unique yet grounded teaching style, mentoring of new teachers, pioneering out-of-the box events.  Angela is a trailblazer.

Her passion drives her to continue to spread and develop the Lindy Hop; her emphasis on the soul and roots of the dance.  Her aim is for the Lindy Hop to be recognised for its duality: as a contemporary dance art form and as a popular Street/Club dance.

Isabella Orlowska

Isabella was born in Warsaw, Poland, where she starts performing in theatre playing roles such as Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Emily Webb inOur Town, and really enjoying doing voiceovers for radio with chocolate commercials being her favorite :)

Following her dream of being a professional performer, she moves to New York and completes a three-year Acting MFA program at the Actors Studio Drama School. Being a curious traveller, she decides to move to Paris for a year of classical and improvised theatre, before establishing roots here in London.

Based in London, Isabella continues to pursue theatre, film, and voiceover work. Being so close to Poland she is also able to work on a variety of popular Polish TV series playing a wide range of roles.

Inspired by the London art scene with such a wide spectrum of different forms of theatre, she feels enthusiastic about developing her own ideas for devised performances based on Method Acting. She is excited to be joining the Pulp & Pith team on this fun and creative evening!
