One of the great pleasures of going to an arts event has to be the complete night of the slow build up and excitement at the show we have ahead of us, followed by the emotion of the experience we have witnessed, whether it has been unforgettable or a less so one.
Today we are going to bring you a few of our favourite places to enjoy some pre, post and interval drinks.
The local - King's Head Theatre Pub
With its central bar and cosy surroundings - one of our favourite choices to meet and enjoy. A traditional bar that always has a great atmosphere before and after a show, it is a true local and is always a firm favourite when choosing a midweek night out.
The night out - Royal Court Theatre
Complementing a beautiful theatre has to be a bar that provides a consistently good scene and fine surroundings. Unlike most theatres, the post show still keeps a good crowd - perfect for an evening with a partner of friends.
The posh option - Royal Opera House
With an incredible setting, the Royal Opera House has to make the list for sheer opulence and quality of surroundings. Not your everyday option, but enjoying some drinks at the champagne bar is an option that must not be missed.
Meeting friends - Wilton's Music Hall
It has been on our list before (here) not only for the fabulous venue it provides but also the great selection of drinks and vibe that you get from the place - good for meeting friends.
This list looks a little anaemic for our liking and we would love if you could recommend us a few more more places with great bars in the comments - we’ll join for more than a glass or two.
